This project was challenging to say the least, it is composed of over 40 layers and elements. The model, pretty Jamie Paites was lit and shot in the studio, I only knew at the time that I would be adding a fire scene in the background, so I rim lit her with orange backlight. While I still had my light set up I arranged for the dog to arrive later in the day. I had someone hold him on the other side with the dogs owner by my side. I simply had the dog released and clicked the shutter as he crossed a pre focused mark. It took a few months to gather the other elements. One lucky afternoon I came upon a fire. It was in the daytime and looked nothing like you see. But from that fire I snagged several elements of the image. The trucks were shot separately as were the fireman and the hose. By dropping a reflection on the pavement it gives it the wet look you see here. The flames were taken from a stock image as was the helicopter. Of course the rest was digital hocus pocus.
